Keeping prices low

There has been a great deal of talk in the media regarding the concerns of so-called ‘greedflation’ at a time when most of us are concerned over the impact of rising costs on our domestic bills, groceries and the subsequent impact of higher interest rates and mortgage repayments.

While there are those who suggest that companies are using inflation as a smokescreen to raise their prices over and above the costs that have been passed on to them – the companies themselves appear quick to disagree.

There also appears to be a trend where producers are reducing the size or weight of their products to reduce costs; but keeping the original price the same. This practice has been labelled as ‘shrinkflation’ in the media.

While there is undoubtedly increased financial pressure upon businesses to increase their prices, it is evident that not all organisations are quick to follow suit.

At E-Spaces Design and Create Ltd, their business ethos is to supply a product that uses high-quality materials and excellent design to support those looking to work from home. With a straightforward focus on creating small modular garden buildings that can be used as a garden office, working studio or simply a quiet space, this small manufacturer has not lost touch with just how important a cost-effective, yet high-quality build can make to those individuals who are remote working or developing a business from their property.

Regardless of inflationary costs, it can be seen that the organisation has not increased the price of their products at all in the last eighteen months. Moreover, the size of their buildings and the quality of their materials remains unchanged also.

This shows that not all organisations look to push their costs on to the consumer and are instead willing to absorb those costs and support their customers at a time of great economic concern.
